ABOUT COMPASS
Compass is the monthly newsletter of Knights of Columbus Switzerland Council No. 12664. It is the latest update of news and events for the members of the council. Compass also includes news and updates for Ave Maria Assembly No. 3008 and the Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to monthly messages from the Grand Knight, Faithful Navigator and President of the Ladies Auxiliary it includes article and pictures of the different projects and missions the council have performed for the previous month. A monthly calendar of upcoming events is boldly displayed along with news from the Florida State Council, Supreme Council and Knights of Columbus Insurance. Pro-Life activities are focused on monthly and periodically there is commentary from members.
Compass is published in a letter-style format. Being for a fraternal organization made up of like-minded members familiar with each other the approach reminds one of reading a letter from a good friend. All production and publication of Compass is done in-house. It is sent as a four-color .pdf and when read on a computer monitor screen at 118% size is read easily as the reader casually scrolls down through the pages.
Each issue of Compass is introduced by a cover email outlining some of the headlines and highlights to be found in that month’s issue. Compass is sent out during the first week of each month by email to all members. It is also sent by email to the members of the Ladies Auxiliary, Florida State Council Officers and other interested parties.
